Once Mr. Frewin earned his bachelor’s degree in physics from Brigham Young University (Provo, UT), he had a desire to teach physics. So he returned to school and earned a master’s degree in physics and a master’s degree in secondary science education from the University of South Florida. Mr. Frewin was hired right out of graduate school by the Center for Advanced Technologies magnet program located at Lakewood High School and is now in his 13th year of teaching and 13th year in the program. Since Mr. Frewin can’t seem to get enough of teaching, however, he sought out and landed a second job teaching at the State College of Florida in Bradenton. He currently teaches beginning astronomy classes at night and beginning meteorology classes online. Happily married for 14 years, he and his wife are the proud parents of three active boys who keep Mr. Frewin very busy when he is not teaching.
